Pleased to present… A Knight of the Seven Seas, for Goose at my motherland venue of Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland!
The state sport of jousting was my jumping-off point for this poster—combining influence from gilded medieval manuscripts with oceanic themes from Maryland’s coastline. I’ve been feeling like some of my recent posters have been stuffed to the gills with detail and textures, and this poster felt like an exercise in allowing some breathing room. I’ve also been wanting to draw a big-ass seahorse for a little while now, and I am happy to have been able to draw a big-ass seahorse for this poster. Maybe all Goose posters will just be nautical themed forever. Hope that’s cool.
Some of my earliest concert memories are from Warped Tour at Merriweather; it’s always such a treat to create something for a venue so central to my experience growing up in Maryland. It’s also such a treat to be able to create some new work for Goose! Thanks to Morgan and team Goose for working with me on this project, and thank you to Triple Stamp in Richmond for the wonderful printing on these.
